Don’t Miss the Chance to Tell PWCS What You Think
How do you rate your child’s school and the education programs in our county? The Prince William County School Board wants to know. All parents or guardians of students enrolled in Prince William County Public Schools were mailed a survey in English or Spanish on January 13 to measure parent satisfaction and determine how well the School Division is meeting the instructional needs of students.
The February 3 deadline for returning the survey is approaching fast. Don’t miss this opportunity.
Parents with children enrolled in more than one school, received a survey for each school.
Parents of PWCS students who did not receive a survey or misplaced the one that was mailed, can contact the Office of Program Evaluation at 703.791.7277 for a replacement.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your valuable input.
Dear Parents ~ As you may know, we are transitioning to an electronic gradebook this year so if you do not see grades for your student, please be patient. We continue to work through some challenges with the transition to the new system and all grades will soon be posted. Please contact your teacher directly for an update on your child's progress.
The Code of Virginia, Section 22.1-176, permits school boards to provide transportation for pupils, BUT does not require them to do so. Riding the PWCS school buses to and from school IS A PRIVILEGE. Students need to follow all school bus rules & regulations, as stated in the 2011-2012 Code of Behavior. Should a student be reported to administration, administration will be responsible for disciplinary action, which may include the loss of the privilege of bus transportation. The parent will be responsible for the transportation of students who have lost school bus transportation privileges. During the first week of school, read over the Code of Behavior with your child(ren) so they understand the expectations of appropriate bus behavior. Remember, riding the school bus is a PRIVILEGE.
